Measure before you buy

All Mikoleon shoes are design to match standard US dress shoe sizes. We don’t make half sizes and, to ensure the perfect fit, please note the following: All our shoes are standard M width (medium width). 

Do not order your sneaker size! When we started making shoes five years ago, we found that there's no shoe length standard, that each continent and brand develops their shoes based on their designs and geographical location, so there's really not a standard size in the world to go by; so yes, we are aware that our shoes are different from any other company, hence we recommend that you measure before you buy because we know that a size 5 for a child in a brand such as Nike will not be the same for our shoes as we have designed and develop our own patterns and shoe forms.

How To Measure Your Feet:

If you are not sure what size to get, measure your child's or your feet before buying. Do not use your sneaker size as a size guide! Our customers report our sizes run TTS (true to size).

  1. Have your child (or you) stand on a piece of paper with feet slightly apart. You may tape the paper to your wood floor to keep paper from slipping from under your feet.
  2. Mark the end of the longest toe and the back of the heel (have someone else measure your feet). Step off the paper.
  3. With a ruler, measure the distance between the heel mark and the longest toe mark.
  4. Take your measurement and match it with the measurements in the “Inches” column in the size chart.

Helpful Tips

  • Wear socks when measuring your feet.
  • Measure your feet at the end of the day; your feet tend to expand throughout the day.
  • Measure both of your feet to get an accurate size as one may be bigger than the other.
  • If your child has wide and chunky feet, or if you have a wide instep and high arches, you may want to go one size up.
  • We have included "Inches" measurement which would be the same as your child's actual foot measurement.
Exchange and Repairs
Shoe Size Exchange or Repair Request
Follow steps below to get your Size Exchange or Repair Approval.
  • For size Exchange, make sure that your boots have not been used (especially outdoors).  They need to be in the same sellable condition as when you received them. You need to report your size exchange within 10 days of receipt of your shipment.
  • For size Exchange or Repair, fill our Customer Service Online Form. Allow 24-72 hours for our Customer Service to contact you after you have submitted your form.
  • We will contact you with your Exchange or Repair approval. After you have our approval, ship your boots back to:

    To celebrate handcrafted genius in 2022, the Explorer Slip-on Sandal sits among our shoes as a brand new iconic silhouette. Taken from original designs that have been present since decades ago. The Explorer Slip-on has strong features in the construction and elaborated artisanal design process.

    To start, the Explorer Slip-on has a large whole-cut leather as the primary piece for the shoe taken only from the best, unblemished, and structurally immaculate pieces of full grain leather that Mikoleon has produced.

    To achieve such dedication to the integrity of product quality and refinement of aesthetics, all leather taken for this style is carefully curated by the artisans in order to eliminate from the production any pieces that don’t hold to the highest of standards for the entire cut. Visually, the leathers for these shoes are dense cowhides rich with an elusive but warm patina appearance.

    Truly, the Explorer Slip-on sits in a group of its own as artisanal curation of the best materials. Vintage hardware. Vegetable-tanned leather soles, rubber slip guards, memory foam insoles, and leather interior tie the shoe into a timeless, innovative, and classic collection.

    MEASURE FIRST: Always measure first with socks and find your size using our Size Chart. Sizes fit true to size and they are American Medium Width. We don't make half sizes if you wear a 7.5 size up to an 8.

    How we make them

    A craftsman cuts the leather by hand, choosing the leather carefully and making sure that he follows the grain of the leather, his expert eye tells him the best way to cut each piece. He then sews each piece with accuracy and exactness only seasoned cobblers have mastered. Each upper body is placed then in the shoe form and with skilled and strength, the master cobbler dresses the form and prepares it to attach the leather sole. The soles are then layered, one on top of another, he then cuts and sands the leather to perfection. Once the glue is dry the leather Artisan then carefully builds-up the finish with an expert’s eye, and touch, to achieve an aged patina in just the right places to reflect the aged qualities only time, wear, and frequent care could have accomplished naturally
